Always wanted to try a Bounce, Heels or Broadway Jazz class for free?

On Saturday 4 June at DC Fit’s Open Day, you’ll get to do just that.
Everyone has a certain dance or fitness class they’ve always wanted to try—but sometimes the fear of commitment holds us back. Well, swap that fear for gym gear because on Saturday 4 June you’ll be able to try special 30-minute taster sessions of 14 styles of dance and fitness classes for free (and with added goodies!) at DC Fit’s Open Day.
So, what can you look forward to? How about trying the new craze of fitness class Bounce—yep, it’s a workout on a mini-trampoline—or if you’d like to ooze into your weekend you can attend a Limbering session to level up your flexibility.
As for the dance classes, you’ll be able to dance like nobody’s watching in Hip Hop, Tap, Contemporary, Jazz, Commercial, Afro Beats, Ballet, Heels (think: music video dancing) Broadway Jazz and even Chair (read: very fun burlesque!). Phew!

The best part? If you fall in love with a class, brand new members will be able to snap up a two-week unlimited class pass for the discounted price of $35 and if you’re an existing DC Fit member you’ll score a discount code for 10% off your next one-month membership purchase or 20% off your next three-month membership purchase.
It all kicks off at 12.45 pm when registrations open, giving you the opportunity to snap up a spot in your taster class of choice. At 1pm, choose from Hip Hop, Tap or Limbering. Then at 1.30 pm it’s on to Contemporary, Bounce or Barre Body, followed by a choice of Jazz, Heels, Contemporary or Afro Beats at 2 pm. For your final session of the day at 2.30 pm, choose from Ballet, Bounce, Chair or Broadway Jazz.
Or, if at any time you want to rest your dancing feet, you’re welcome to take a breather in the DC Fit reception where a grazing board of bliss balls, fruit parfait and cheese and crackers will be waiting for you to snack on, along with mini smoothie shots, mini green bang juices, tea and coffee.

Julie Scheer, founder of the Phillip studio, says the annual Open Day is always a celebration of all things new in a warm and welcoming environment.
“We want you to have the opportunity to give dance a go. All classes on the day are beginner-level so if you’ve never done this before you’re in the right place,” she says.
“If you danced when you were younger and want to get back into some classes, this is the perfect way to see what DC Fit is like. There are so many classes on the timetable not only for beginners but right through to intermediate and advanced. This is a great opportunity to finally try that dance or fitness class that you’ve always wanted to try.”
