$6 ice skating comes to South.Point—just in time for school holidays

Forget the drive to the snow this school holidays. Wintery fun can be had indoors at South.Point—no ski jacket required.

Seasonal fun for the whole family will come to South.Point Tuggeranong this winter school holidays in the form of an indoor ice-skating rink.

Set up in South.Point’s Centre Court, the ice-skating rink is perfect for all ages as the rink is made of special synthetic material which means the skates are bladeless. It’s also far less cold!

With the 45-minute-long sessions costing just $6.36 per person, including skate hire, and three sessions a day from Monday 28 June to Sunday 11 July, there will be plenty of opportunity to perfect your technique.

Amy Young, Marketing Manager for South.Point, says that she’s excited to see visitor reaction to the new activation.

“Historically, there hasn’t been ice skating in south Canberra, so we wanted to bring something close for all our local shoppers and their little ones. After all, it’s so cold in Canberra, so why not celebrate the season?”

Not only will skaters get to experience indoor skating, but all ticket holders will also receive a free ice cream voucher, which is valid at Mookie Burger Tuggeranong to the value of $5. Win-win!

Even better, Amy adds that the skating rink is located right next to The Coffee Club, which means parents can kick back and safely supervise with a latte—or seasonal hot chocolate—in-hand.
