Urinetown the Musical

After COVID ruined its first release date, Canberra’s newest semi-professional Musical Theatre company are finally bringing Urinetown the Musical to the stage.

In a Gotham-like city, a terrible water shortage caused by a 20-year drought has led to a government-enforced ban on private toilets. The citizens are forced to use public amenities, regulated by a single malevolent company that profits by charging admission for one of humanity’s most basic needs.

This hilarious musical satire takes the piss out of the legal system, capitalism, bureaucracy, and musical theatre itself!
