¡Olé! A Cointreau Kombi bar is Coming to Canberra!
Posted on
The Cointreau Margarita Kombi is popping up in Canberra and we’ll take all the margaritas and tacos, please.
After stopping in Sydney to celebrate the magnificent margarita, the retro VW Kombi is coming to Canberra to tantalise our taste buds for three days.
Offering a little taste of Mexico and slinging Australia’s favourite cocktail, the Kombi will be parking at Mezcal and Taqueria bar Loquita from Friday, 1 April until Sunday, 3 April.
And tequila lovers need to get excited, there are three different margaritas on the menu including the Original Margarita, the Passionfruit Frozen Margarita (which blends the complex flavour notes of Cointreau with a tropical touch of Passoã passionfruit liqueur) and the Spicy Margarita (which includes Cointreau, Jalapeno, Tequila and lime juice).
But hold the lime slices and salt, that’s not even the best part.
To accompany the fine selection of margaritas, delicious Loquita tacos will also be on the menu, full of native ingredients that focus on the distinctive flavours of Mexico’s vibrant regions. Choose from the tempura fish, slow-cooked beef brisket, grilled corn or feta, minted yoghurt and parsley taco, and more for just $6 each.
Open from 12pm, there are no bookings required but make sure to get in quick because sitting back and sipping on a margarita whilst enjoying the retro VW Kombi’s Mexican-inspired interior sounds like a slice of heaven. ¡Olé!
