An epic back to school bash at Marketplace Gungahlin

This summer, Marketplace Gungahlin is sending kids back to school in style at their epic Back to School Bash!

Back to school. What kind of things does that sentence conjure up?

Fresh stationery, clean school bags, a new lunch box and…an inflatable obstacle castle!? That’s right—this year it’s time to do back to school a little differently. It’s time to make it fun.

Marketplace Gungahlin is putting the cool into back to school with an epic Back to School Bash—a huge week of free activities from 27 January–2 February from 10 am–1 pm each day.

The perfect accompaniment to back to school stationery shopping and the big back-to-normality supermarket shop, the Marketplace will host an epic line-up of all-ages activities fun outside Big W.

We’re talking balloon modelling, glitter tattoos, giant yard games like giant building blocks and giant Connect 4, face painting and slime making with the Slime Academy as well as a Jump N Slide and an Obstacle Course Castle for kids to explore.

Across the week, kids will have the chance to expend that excess summer energy, get creative and tackle some fun challenges, all in the air-conditioned Marketplace Gungahlin. As a final treat, on Sunday 2 February kids can snack on free popcorn and fairy floss—the perfect farewell to summer.

BACK TO SCHOOL BASH LINE UP

Monday 27 January

Get set to have a blast and a good run-around at the free Jump N Slide! Plus, there will be free Balloon Modelling to keep the kids entertained.

Tuesday 28 January         

Enjoy Balloon Modelling and Back to School Craft activities.

Wednesday 29 January

Prepare for SLIME… at the free Slime Academy! Kids will love making their own slime to take home.

Thursday 30 January    

Enjoy free face painting, balloon modelling and glitter tattoos.

Friday 31 January     

The Marketplace is bringing in a Large Obstacle Castle for kids of all ages to enjoy—plus there will be free balloon modelling.

Saturday 1 February

Get ready to play with Giant Yard Games including Giant Connect 4, Giant Building Blocks, Giant Jenga and Giant Noughts and Crosses! There will also be free glitter tattoos and balloon modelling.

Sunday 2 February           

Treat yourself with free fairy floss and popcorn*!
