Passionate Canberran Sean Costello has written more than fifty short stories set in Canberra under the brand name Capital Yarns, published online, in a self-published book, zines, and via a monthly podcast. Sean holds degrees in Communication (Journalism) and Law, but is on leave from his fulltime lawyer gig to spend time with his family, travel and write (in that order). After living in Edinburgh for two years, revelling in its artistic and literary traditions, Sean became convinced Canberra should take its place as another cold capital revealing its warm soul through storytelling. He was awarded the ‘2014 Canberran of the Year’ by the Gang Gang column in The Canberra Times newspaper, and a Highly Commended in the 2015 ACT Writers Centre’s Writing and Publishing Awards.
