Local Loves: Albion Café Braidwood
Posted on
An essential stop-off for any Canberran passing through Braidwood, you’ve likely heard of or seen the iconic steps in front of the Albion Café Braidwood.
Accomplished head chef Bridgette and husband Brendan (and their young son Lyall) own The Albion and have been running the café with love since 2012. Every element of their healthy and wholesome meals is made from scratch, using only the freshest high-quality local produce.

Many of the ingredients are grown by Brendan and Bridgette themselves, or sourced locally (with suppliers including the Greendale Farm, Lonsdale Street Roasters Coffee, and Dojo Bread), which directly assists local farmers and their communities.
With travel restrictions during COVID, the Albion Café has created a selection of tasty and comforting slow-cooked freshly frozen meals for pick-up in-store or home delivery.
Currently offering once a week delivery to Canberra, Queanbeyan, Jerrabomberra, Googong, and Bungendore on Thursday. Alternatively, pick-up in-store 7 days a week.

The meals cater for a range of dietary requirements, including gluten-free, vegetarian and vegan. All meals made fresh and snap-frozen, ready for you to heat up and eat as it is, with some crusty bread, a salad or some steamed vegetables.
If you do happen to be in the area, The Albion Café Braidwood is open seven days a week to collect a coffee or pick-up your meals in-store.
