Who’s up for a safari adventure these school holidays?

While our overseas trips may have been cancelled for 2020, South.Point Tuggeranong is offering kids an adventure these winter school holidays.

Giving kids the perfect opportunity to get out and about while escaping the cold, South.Point’s Safari Zoo Adventure will give kids the chance to spy epic exotic animals ‘in the wild’, while earning points towards a special prize.

Taking place from 4-19 July, the Safari Zoo Adventure will feature five epic animatronic safari animals across three displays. However, these are no ordinary displays—each animal will move and roar, giving little ones a slice of a real safari experience.

Your first stop will be the South.Point Information Desk, where your little ones can collect their free Safari Adventure Map. Make sure to download the South.Point app too—that’ll come in handy later.

Follow the hints to find each display. Once there, you’ll find fun facts about each animal on their Animal Information boards—and make sure to snap photos of each animal and scan the QR code via the South.Point app to ‘collect’ each animal in order to claim your prize.

Don’t hurry though—there’s no need to rush as there’s no time limit on scanning the codes or following the map. There’s plenty of time to explore the centre, get a bit of shopping done, or even discover each display on different visits to the centre.

Once you’ve tracked down all three displays and scanned the QR code of all five animals, head back to the Information Desk to claim your free Safari Backpack.

South.Point Tuggeranong has COVID-safe practices in-place across the centre, including encouraging physical distancing and offering free hand sanitiser.

As this is a hands-off activity, participants can complete the Safari Zoo Adventure contactless.

The Adventure will run every day from the 4 July until the 19 July and can be completed as many times as you want. Only one Safari Backpack can be claimed per person. Don’t forget to stay safe and practice social distancing.
