Real wedding: Kimberley and Bryce

Posted on

Kimberley and Bryce’s glamorous wedding could’ve been mistaken for a royal occasion – it featured an extremely chic tailored gown, a grand venue, and some delectable gold-covered desserts… Kimberley takes us through the day.

Getting ready

We both spent the night before the wedding at our home in Ainslie along with our brothers and our five-year-old daughter. On the morning of the big day, I had my makeup done by Concept Makeup. Being a hairdresser, I was able to do my own hair!

The dress

My dress is a custom-made gown from Rockstars and Royalty. I had a very specific design in mind that required an experienced eye in order to be brought to life, so Vicky from Rockstars and Royalty was an obvious choice for me. It is made from crushed silk chiffon in champagne, with French navy crushed velvet straps. The design is a variation on a Gucci gown that I saw on the cover of an InStyle magazine. It’s not a traditional design but I absolutely love it!

The ceremony

The ceremony was held at All Saints Anglican Church in Ainslie. The service and the champagne afternoon tea were also held there.

The reception

The reception included a sit down dinner at The Deck at Regatta Point. We had 120 guests to the service and 80 to the reception, which we felt was a great number and a great way to keep all people happy and included.

The comments we mainly received about the day were about the food and our stationery. We had some incredible cakes made by Pip & Lou, and our stationery featured water colours by Raisa Kross. Raisa happened to be our photographer’s wife so we were very lucky to find them!

I trusted the vendors to do most of the preparations, guided mainly by my vision for a very relaxed and glamorous setting with loads of flowers. The inspiration behind the photography was the photo shoot Vogue did of Kate Moss when she married Jamie Hince. Anton was able to capture that perfectly, recreating shots very easily.

We were super lucky with Bryce’s family home being on Mugga Way, as there were plenty of photo opportunities among the stunning gardens and with the cars leaving through the large gates. We chose to have the majority of our photos taken before the service so we did not feel rushed on the day – a decision we were both really happy with! kimberley 8

We later got a few shots up at the Arboretum but it was absolutely freezing so we didn’t stay long!
