ROCKWELL: location, design and a pink lake

Rockwell’s spacious townhouses might be the perfect answer for those looking to snap up a slice of the inner north.

The quiet Belconnen suburb of Bruce has been getting some good press lately.

Not only has it gained its very own viral Instagram location (a ‘millennial pink’ pond on Eardley Street), but as Canberra continues to expand outward, its inner north suburbs like Bruce where property is being snapped up quicker than you can say #pinklake.

Increasingly sought after by a wide variety of buyers, Bruce offers an established alternative to newer Belconnen suburbs, and while much of the suburb’s property is tightly held, the Rockwell development is opening up the area to buyers looking to purchase a brand new home.

A townhouse-only development on Braybrooke Street, Rockwell is walking distance to Belconnen Town Centre’s multitude of amenities, Lake Ginninderra, Calvary Hospital, the University of Canberra and schools such as Radford College—but also easily accessible by car or public transport to the City Centre, ANU and the southside, via nearby Tuggeranong Parkway.

But there’s more to Rockwell than just its proximity to metro areas. With leafy Fern Hill Park and playground just moments away, it’s a perfect spot for young families. And for sport and fitness junkies—with the AIS Arena and associated fitness and swimming complex just across the road—you’ll never drive to the gym or a game again.

It’s this positioning that Eddie Glavinic of Glav Corp says drew them to the Bruce area.

“Rockwell is an exciting opportunity for Glav Corp to bring quality and affordable townhouses to Belconnen. A prime location where people can invest, downsize or grow their family.”

“There’s so much within five minutes of the site—fresh food markets, shopping centre, schools, gyms, the university, hospitals —but what some people don’t know is that it’s a quiet precinct too.”

Having operated as a family business in Canberra for more than 40 years, Eddie says Glav Corp’s focus is squarely on building quality and affordable homes for the Canberra community. With the motto of “considered, quality design”, Glav Corp’s offerings are thought-through and flexible.

With two and three-bedroom townhouses available, Rockwell’s design allows for generous open living areas, internal access to double garages and ample storage.

With every terrace facing north, Rockwell’s 53 residences will be light-filled, with sustainable inclusions such as double glazing to help retain heat in winter and ducted reverse cycle heating and cooling.

Glav Corp’s attention to detail is reflected in Rockwell’s fresh, light interiors, with stone benchtops, floor to ceiling tiling to bathrooms, German engineered appliances and generous sized courtyards.

Eddie attests that Rockwell is perfect for investors with “Bruce rentals being in high demand given its proximity to universities, hospitals, the Belconnen town and city centre.”
