The Kew: future living

Spend hours browsing Pinterest for interiors inspo or searching for the perfect matte black tapwear on Houzz?
Put the device down and step inside the future of sophisticated modern living in The Kew, Classic Constructions‘ stunning new display home in Narrabundah.
It’s the kind of home that prompts rubbernecking from passing motorists on Captain Cook Crescent—from the outside, a massive concrete block seems to be suspended above a charcoal-tiled wall. A sleek vertical panel frames the double-storey glass entryway.
While ultra-cool on the outside, the interior is warm and inviting. Uninterrupted slabs of timber and stone throughout the living area and kitchen should feel heavy, but abundant light from the north-facing double-glazed PVC floor-to-ceiling windows creates a sense of openness.
It’s luxurious, with all the features you’d expect to find on a modern home owner’s wish list: a huge dual kitchen and spacious outdoor living space complete with an impressive undercover cooking and preparation area, a home cinema with cinescope technology, open fireplace, four spacious bedrooms, two bathrooms and a nook that could suit anything from study to library.
“The way people are living is changing. Multi-functional rooms with timeless design and aesthetics, that was our goal. A home that connects outdoors with the indoor and also connects to the future of technology and sustainability,” says Jason Tanchevski, Director, Classic Constructions.
The more impressive elements of this home, however, aren’t necessarily the ones with visual ‘wow’ factor. They’re in the custom joinery, CCTV security monitoring with remote viewing, Solar PV system with roof panels and the Tesla Hybrid storage battery in the garage. It’s timeless style meets future thinking.
“ We understand that a display can offer a lot, we also understand the need for our clients to be able to pick and choose elements within the home to adjust to a budget,”says Tanchevski.
“We wanted to bring a futuristic home to Canberra—sustainability with timeless design should be considered in every new build home,”
The display home is at 104 Captain Cook Cresent in Narrabundah and is open to the public from 11am – 3pm Saturday and Sunday. The team will also be taking appointments during the week.
