Tiny Creatures makes kids’ parties a piece of cake

For many parents, planning kids’ birthday parties can be the bane of your existence.

There’s barely even time to wipe the porridge off your child’s face before you drop him at school, let alone figure out how to make the DIY balloon garland you saved on Pinterest a few weeks back. Oh, and don’t even get us started on Pinterest… Since when did you need a $10,000 budget (or more) for a 4-year old’s birthday party?

Then there’s the food, furniture, décor, cake, invites and, most importantly, a list of activities that are going to keep the little cherubs preoccupied for a few hours. If that’s not your thing, Melanie Gibb is here to help.

Melanie is a former children’s dance and drama teacher and currently a 26-year-old adult-child and founder of Tiny Creatures – an all-inclusive kid’s party planning, styling and hosting company based in Canberra, that’s officially launching on Monday September 10.

Tiny Creatures was born out of a love for entertaining children. Growing up in the drama and dance environment, Mel has been working with kids for almost 10 years.

“Some of my fondest memories are from teaching a dance, music and drama program for young kids,” says Mel.

“Part of the class was all about improvisation, and honestly the stories the kids would dream up for us to act out were beyond hilarious! Imagination is so important for children and adults. I have a crazy imagination, which is what I’ve harnessed to create Tiny Creatures,” explains Mel.

Mel uses her imagination to dream up and deliver custom parties that are super-fun for kids and visual feasts that won’t break the bank.

“Tiny Creatures takes the time and stress out of organising and executing children’s events, so you can spend your time making valuable memories with your family.

“We offer a completely customisable and personalised service that can be tailored to fit your needs, venue and budget. We take care of everything from planning the theme and sourcing the styling, décor and furniture hire, to hosting the party and packing it all up at the end of the day.

“We also have great relationships with local catering businesses, so if you also need us to organise food, we’ve got you covered,” adds Mel.

Current packages include teepee sleepovers, traditional parties and party hosting and start from just $270.

But, if you are a parent who will be taking on the task of planning a party for your child (all credit to you), Tiny Creatures also has a huge range of unique party supplies and furniture hire available via their online store.

To celebrate the launch, Tiny Creatures is offering parents the chance to win a free kids party for up to 10 children. Simply head to their Instagram @tinycreaturesco to enter. For more information about Tiny Creatures, visit www.tinycreaturesco.com.
